Most Spicy Indian Dishes

In India everyone loves to eat spicy food. Generally the young generation loves spicy food. People who eat more spicy food have less risk of cancer. In Indian cuisine, spicy food is the most famous among all the flavors.

1. Pork Vindaloo

Vindaloo comes from Goa, India. It includes a high amount of vinegar and the traditional meat of pork due to the Portuguese impact on the area. There are many variations in the recipe of vindaloo. Some people serve this dish with chicken or lamb mixed with potatoes. However, traditional vindaloos do not include potatoes. In Goa, the authentic vindaloo is a parch sauce based dish using pork fat, garlic, vinegar, jaggery and Kashmiri red chilli. Vindaloo always tastes better on the next day because the meat will be cooked properly . Just like a pickle, it tastes better when you store it for a long time.

2. Phaal Curry

Phaal is an Indian curry dish which comes from Indian restaurants of Birmingham, UK. It is one of the hottest forms of curry consistently available, even spicier than the vindaloo. Using a large number of occasional standard chilli peppers such as scotch bonnet or habanero. Typically, this dish is prepared in a thick curry made up of tomato and includes ginger and fennel seeds.

3. Laal Maas

The name sounds weird. The only non-vegetarian dish to really stand out in Rajasthan is laal maas (red meat). If you are a non-vegetarian and witness your taste buds, this red hot dish is a must-try! It is a semi thick gravy mutton curry cooked in a sauce of curd and hot spices such as red chillies and Garam Masala. The special Chilli called Mathania comes from Mathania in Jodhpur, is used to characterize the dish in deep red colour.  

4. Chicken Chettinad

Chicken Chettinad comes from Tamil Nadu and is one of the most spiciest and aromatic in India. Chettinad cuisine is famous for making non- vegetarian food with the use of a variety of spices. The dishes are hot and burning with fresh garam masalas, and topped with a boiled egg. They also use a variety of sun dried meats and salted vegetables that reflect the dry environment of the region. The type of meat in this includes only fish, prawn, lobster, crab, chicken and lamb.

5. Rista

Rista is rich in taste and aroma, it is the most spiciest dish ever. The meat for this dish is pounded by hand with large wooden hammers on a large flat solid wood base. The flavor of fennel seeds makes it unique from other dishes. This delicious Rista dish is best served with butter naan and cumin rice. 

6. Kozi Kari

This dish originates from Kerala and it is believed that this dish was first introduced in India by early Jewish settlers. A combination of hot fresh green chilli peppers and dried ground red chilli peppers results in a hot chicken curry. The variety of spices they use in this dish make it one of the spiciest dishes you’ll ever have in India. 

7. Piro Aloo

So finally this dish is for vegetarians. Although this dish comes from Nepal, it has become quite a popular dish in India. Nepali called this dish Dum Aloo in simple terms. It is drier and 10 times spicier than other Indian dishes. This is a favourite dish of everyone, even for die-hard meat lovers.

8. Andhra Dry Mutton

Andhra food is just the best dish out of this world. It’s not only fantastically spicy, but if you end up going to an Andhra restaurant, you’ll realise it’s also a balanced meal as well. People generally serve this dish with rice and vegetarian dishes to help you out with the fire in the stomach. 

9. Kolhapuri Chicken

Kolhapur is known to be a place that is famous for its spices. Tikhi Mirchi layi hoon, main Kolhapurse aayi hoon. This always rings in our mind while thinking about this dish. Spicy, hot, exotic real Kolhapuri chicken. It pairs really well with homemade light roti or naan.

10. Beef Chili Fry

Tender, juicy, succulent, perfectly deep fried beef undercut and some tickling green chili to increase the onion and tomato flavor in the dish. Just thinking about it will get you salivating because of its spicier flavor.
