Til Chikki

You can make your own til chikki with just three ingredients! 

Ingredients

  1. Dry roasted sesame seeds
  2. Jaggery
  3. Ghee

To start, we will melt jaggery and ghee. Then we will add the dry roasted sesame seeds in this mixture. Grease a plate and pour this mixture onto the plate. Spread it thinly (or thickly, however, you like) and cut it into pieces. Enjoy!

Peanut Chikki 

Ingredients

  1. Peanuts (Dry Roast) 
  2. Jaggery
  3. Ghee

Take the peanuts and separate the skin from the peanuts. Grease a plate, a knife, and a rolling pin. For the jaggery syrup, add 150 grams of grated jaggery to a pot. Add 1 tablespoon of water. Start by dissolving the jaggery, and then add the ghee. Boil this while stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and starts bubbling. Cook till it reaches the consistency where it turns hard when put in cold water. Turn the heat off and add in the peanuts. Stir the peanuts well and coat them in jaggery. Place this mixture on a plate and roll it out. Try to make it as thin as possible. Cut them into equal pieces while it is still warm. Cool the chikki and enjoy!

  1. Almonds
  2. Cashews
  3. Pistachios
  4. Pumpkin Seeds
  5. Walnut (optional)
  6. Jaggery 
  7. Ghee

First, put a cup of almonds, cashews, 2 tablespoons of pistachios, and 2 tablespoons of pumpkin seeds in a pan. Dry-roast the nuts for 10 minutes, or until they get crunchy. Put 1 teaspoon of ghee, 1 cup of jaggery, and 1/4 cup of water in a large pot. Mix well until all of the jaggery is dissolved. boil for 6-7 minutes or until the syrup turns frothy. Keep the heat low and add the roasted nuts and 1/4 teaspoon of cardamom powder. Make sure the dry fruits are covered in jaggery syrup by mixing it well.

Quickly transfer the contents to butter paper or a steel plate. Cover with another greased sheet of paper and roll with the help of a rolling pin. Make the mixture thinner by rolling. Cut it into pieces before it cools completely.
